I have visited the forums for some time now, but this is my 'official' introduction.
Wanted to thank the Admin and contributors for such a large wealth of info here. Cliff notes are amazing!
I'll try my best to find what I'm looking for here first before posting repeat questions...
As a side note, I used to have a Sony EVI-D70 camera mounted under an eaves. Pretty great camera, but I had to use a TV dongle with it, to be able to add to Blue Iris.
After seeing a neighbours Nest Cam footage, I decided it was time to upgrade at least one of my cameras (an older Hikvision, and some 'ok' China ones).
Added a Dahua starlight camera, which is good, but that Sony... that produced a great image with the right lighting!
We get the odd door checkers come through, but it's been relatively quiet over the last few years. We are more likely to get a black bear wander by, checking for unlocked garbage bins (still some dumb people around here). Looking forward to putting some new videos up.
