I have 2 PCs running in 2 depots. I have just replaced them with 2 windows 11 machines. and updated to V6 and all running well. the problem I have is this. I took the 2 windows 10 PCs to our main depot to scrap them. however I then needed a file out of one of them, I started them up but when I did all the stored files disappeared off the HHD and its now completely clean as if it has had a format. I tried the other one to check and it is the same. they both have their original licence but I didn't renew the maintenance plan as I put new licence in both window 11 machines.

Any help would be great.

Not sure what you are wanting help with, are you wanting to recover the files that have been wiped off the drives of the old computers or something else? Please clarify your question

I have not seen any reports of this sort and I read almost every post on this forum along with the posts on the official BI forum! I have moved BI and transferred the old data to new computers many times. I have three systems that get refreshed every 3 or 4 years and never encountered the old files being removed unless I purposely deleted them after the files were transferred.

Have you considered taking the computer to a data recovery service if the files are important? Did you have any sort of encryption running on the systems or any AV software that would automatically wipe data if the system was stolen?

Does each PC have 2 HDD's configured as RAID 0?
