Hello all, joined up as I came across here through google trying my best to sort my camera out & this looks like the place to be. Hoping & praying someone here could be a legend to help me out.
Issue I have with this camera ds-2de2c400iwg/w built in January 2025 that I bought new in the box not knowing to much about security camera systems with Hikvision in particular & just thought this was the one to get (Boy was I wrong). When I linked it up to Hik-Connet everything was fine and worked as it should but it asked me to update the camera to a newer firmware which is now v5.3.8 build 260123, since this has updated to this version it has lost it's calibration for the panning & rears off to the left grinding when it hits the stopper until it finally stops & goes back to the preset set, even after human detection when it follows it then pans all the way to the left again grinding until it goes back. With this camera there is no firmware you can download & I have tried every single procedure you can possibly try. I had phoned up Hikvision and they said to reach out to a local installer that they can not help me as I asked for the firmware, I have searched all sorts of places online for firmwares &tried different ones but to no avail. I am just gutted they worked fine before hand & new & now they don't since I updated them to their recommendation saying about security blah blah. I wish I knew more about these problems with Hik updates before hand.... Lessons learned I guess.
What I am at now is my extracted firmware dump that I have knowledge enough to be able to edit the MAC etc mapped onto the older firmware it came with (That I am not sure of the version) to flash back, I have tried all sorts of different firmwares with my own bin and some python scripts to changer headers & magic knock on both the partitions etc but no luck. Just stuck at red light and nothing else. So I have put back the backup firmware and still the same issue. If anyone could be a God send and share a backup bin of this model or and older .dav firmware version for me to try that would be awesome.
