Get a dashcam. Period!

Update, the other drivers insurance was not valid. I called the police station to let them know so he could be cited for that as well. So I am stuck with getting it repaired myself. I am not filing it on my insurance. Ill will start my search for collision centers in the Atoka Tennesse area. UGHHHHH!

I'm not sure how it works where you are, but in many states I've lived in, I paid "under- and un-insured driver coverage" that was designed to cover this exact case (or in the case that someone has the bare minimum coverage and doesn't cover all the damage), and it's not considered a chargeable accident for insurance purposes.

The whole concept is perverse-- paying for something because others who weren't responsible didn't pay despite being legally obligated to do so. But at least I got my car repaired for free.

That isn't going to be cheap

I cannot find the link now, but I heard of a state that recently made "squatted" trucks that exceed a certain amount higher in front than the rear illegal....not saying this was the case with the above as it appears lifted equally front and rear, but I'll wager the visibilty of a low pbject is impaied object is impaired if you're close to it.

Excerpt:

1. Impaired Visibility: When the front end of a truck is lowered, the driver’s line of sight is often obstructed. In particular, the lowered front end can make it difficult to see smaller vehicles, pedestrians, and objects in the road, increasing the likelihood of accidents, especially when turning or backing up.

We have three dash cams, one for each vehicle. Don't leave home with out a dash cam.

Although there are 3 OEM cameras (driver, lane assist, rear) in my '25 Bronco Sport, I installed my own mirror and rear camera.

Too many numbskulls near me blowing through red lights, and weaving in and out of traffic.

Makes me a better driver since the I know the footage could be used against me.

I am partial to WolfBox cameras.

...and unless I'm missing something (not in video) the repairs to the Lambo will all be on the driver/owner of the truck.

Yeah, that's just what I need... an expensive truck that can't haul or pull anything or a similarly expensive performance vehicle that can't go around a corner fast or clear a dead squirrel in the road....what a waste of money and machinery, IMO.

But it's a free country so go for it.....
