Yeah, we use to play with them as kids, a friend had one. They even strike but are pretty much harmless.Below I'm holding an eastern hognosed snake that showed up in July of 2023 next to my driveway. Unfortunately, they way they flare out their neck and hiss to ward off would-be attackers they're just asking to to be killed by the uninformed. I take them across the street to the woods where there's no nearby structures and release them.
