Jogging downhill while pushing a wheelchair does not seem like a good idea.
Jogging downhill while pushing a wheelchair does not seem like a good idea.

I used to have folks like this come into my theatre. With almost all cases', it was hard to determine who was the patient and whom was the caregiver(s).What the heck is wrong with people! Wheelchairs belong on the sidewalk, cars belong in the roadway!![]()
Most of the houses on this hillside don't have sidewalks. That sidewalk across the street is one of the few sidewalks available.I can understand wanting to walk in the street in residential areas, especially if you have some some of mobility impairment. There are many sources of "unevenness" like driveways, and the sidewalks are not maintained as well as the streets and one end is higher or shifted, large cracks, cars blocking them, etc. Most people in my neighborhood do walk in the street.
But knowing that they prefer to get out into a highly traveled roadway with frequent speeders and a hill on top of that.....if it were me I'd take the safer, smoother route until I ran out of it!Most of the houses on this hillside don't have sidewalks.
