A lithium-ion scooter battery caught fire inside a dorm at San Diego State University, triggering the sprinkler system and damaging 16 dorm rooms.

As e-bikes, scooters, and other micromobility devices become more common on campuses, universities are seeing an increase in lithium-ion battery fires inside residential buildings.

College kids today are lazy enough, make them walk to classes like we all had to do...Problem solved...
