Electrical Inspection Wall Of Shame

Electrician in any other country:
install a RCD

then give customer advice to join amish
Installing a RCD to protect people from the electrical issue/fault..........no problem.
Finding out what is causing the fault and how to fix it........THAT is the problem!

I retired in '04 so I don't chase such headaches for a living any more, just the occasional one at the house. I recall some electrical issues so obscure and weird that "going Amish' seemed like a good move at the time! :lmao:

Probably only one phase of the 240 or only 120 volts. The sink is ground and the stove feed has had the ground swapped with one of the phases. That will wake you up

FWIW, 4-wire, residential electrical service is more correctly termed "single" (or "split") phase, comprised of 2 legs ("L1" and "L2") which are 180° out of phase with each. Each leg is 120VAC between the other and 240VAC between L1 and L2.

I agree they likely have one leg of 240VAC tied to the chassis of the stove and the other leg as incoming 120VAC for lighting or electronic burner ignitor, as a gas stove normally would not have 240VAC coming unless the oven is not gas.

240 volts is the right voltage for correcting ED fair and square
I have found that even 120VAC can cure temporary constipation as well......:poop::lmao:

I'll give that one a try tomorrow morning and report back ;)
If we don't hear back from you we'll assume :
  1. It did NOT help your constipation but
  2. it DID cure your ED and you heard Rosie O'donnell is back in the U.S. of A. :puke:

And when you see green algae growing across the upper front of the electric meter enclosure, you know that's been going on for a while!
Funny part is this property had 2 wells and would run out of water in late summer. Which is odd as this was the wealthiest homeowner I’ve done work for to date.

Probably safer than sticking with that Federal Pacific.

Probably safer than sticking with that Federal Pacific.

Hopefully they’re just jumpers to a new panel that’s less susceptible to burn your house down
But it has "Stab LOK" so it must be good, right? Buzzwords always make things fancier (pinky in the air)
