Seeing if I can get any ideas or pointers. I'm trying to demo the DS-2XS2T47G1-LDH/4G/C18S40(4MM) hikvision camera. I've got the debug LAN to ethernet connector, and supplimental power. I have it directly connected to a PC. I have set the IP manually for the PC, and with a continous ping the thing is, the camera boots, and eventually blue blinking lights, and IP is alive at 192.168.1.64. SADP can see it, I can browse the the camera's IP and looks like I can set it up. However, then the light turns red, and the IP not longer responds after about ~5 seconds. Then every ~10 minutes or so the IP responds again, but only for 2-3 pings, then no response. If I hold down the reset button to tempt it into blinking blue pairing mode, no reliable reaction. A reboot will get the IP to respond again, but only briefly, then back to solid red light. Eventually the unit will reboot in what looks like a boot loop, and ends up with a red light basicly.

Same behavior with and without a SIM card in it. Firmware is latest: Firmware__V5.7.20_250924_S3000680058

Any pointers or ideas? Odd behavior.

For anyone who finds this thread - the answer is to ensure the battery charge level is well above 20% - the camera out of the box will check charge level and shutdown the camera to enter sleep if the power level is too low. The solar panel is connected via standard quick disconnects, and DC bench voltages of 18v and 1.5a can be supplied to more rapidly charge the battery pack.

Now I'm just head scratching because all the features in the manual and spec page for FTP uploads, or RSTP streams etc are all absent in web administration. There is no way for the camera to push content out to a remote server, which makes the SIM card requirements more specific since it would need a static IP instead of a cheaper cgnat carrier SIM.

sigh why is Hikvision so bad? Is there a better LTE & Solar powered camera that can SFTP/SSH images to a remote server? (That I don't have to build)

Yeah, after more testing, just no ability to access the content of the camera, none of the settings available. It doesn't match what I saw in reviews or other screenshots, or the manual. I was hopeful to place this as a remote location and have it upload SFTP/FTPS/FTP still images every X minutes over cellular. No infrastructure at the site, no power, ability to place an NVR etc etc. Was hoping to send the stills out to minimize data use, and power use while avoiding trying to grab RSTP stream stills since that can result in lower quality images.

Well, I also checked the hikvision website, and the user manual specifically calls out FTP ability. --> DS-2XS2T47G1-LDH/4G/C18S40

Bummer. Well, is there any wisdom on a primarily daytime semi-proffesional outdoor camera that can upload still images in 4k via cellular & solar?
