DS-2CD2732F-IS makes a thumping sound on audio during daylight operation, not at night

it's powered by a 12 volt, 10 amp power supply that also powers 2 other cameras and 2 other IR panels and they are fine

The firmware is fairly old. I suggest you upgrade the firmware first.

Agreed, very old.
But first check it's not a China region camera by looking at the serial number - SADP or the web GUI - and confirming it does not have the letters CCCH embedded in it or it will likely get bricked.

Are you able to change the audio compression via the webGUI? If it's an option, try switch between G.711 / G.726.
As a last resort it may be worth trying a separate power source.

Yes, Chinese. Best not to do a firmware upgrade ...
