ds-2cd2035-i motion detection issue

Hi All,

Recently i bought ds-2cd2035-i from Amazon.
Firmware version 5.4.0.build 160401.

I'm having troubles to trigger video recording to ftp.
The test of the ftp works just fine. It writes small file in the folder.
If i use schedule settings/capture/capture parameters/Event triggered/Event triggered Snapshot trying works fine.
But i spent a week trying to make video motion detection works with no success.

Please let me know if there are certain steps to follow or i'm having an issue with motion detection.

I am having the same problem with 2042WD-I fw 5.4.1. I only get FTP during night. Switching to night mode during the day makes FTP work, but the images are B&W

I found the problem/solution. One needs to limit the image quality to medium or low in the Storage -> Capture -> Capture parameters . It seems that if the JPG is <1MB its goes through, but not if >1MB. The night JPGs are <1MB and go through even in high quality.
