DMSS app and creating an account

I have yet to create an account for the DMSS app to view cameras (just always cancel out of the screen). But now recently the prompt is becoming more frequent.

Are you guys making an account? What is the advantage of making one?

Getting alerts while using P2P, on new NVR.s you must
Also it saves alerts when you close the app when logged in. Without, they disappear when you close the app

I have a new NVR, don't use P2P, and my alerts are still there when I close the app.

So no real advantage of making an account, for me at least.
