Discrete Alarm to Deter Animals

Is there a discrete alarm available to deter animals (i.e. Raccoons, Cats, Squirrels)? Perhaps a Z-Wave device would do, but it would need to be secured against a wall and be waterproof. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd like something which can be manually triggered on and off, because coincidentally these animals are always in-sight

no manual trigger but i have one of these in my back yard.

I can hear it going sometimes, but I have ears that apparently pick up high freq stuff well. of the others I have asked they can't hear it.


note: if you have a dog/cat of your own this might not be a good idea.
