Delay for some cameras

Hi,

I have on my BI 2x2231 Dahuas and one 5442.
I'm having wierd delay in the 5442 video.

In the bottom right the trash truck already left (in the far corner) while in the top left its still there.
I tried to check the settings, to make sure it's a match, but I actually have no clue what can cause that.

Any tips ?

PS, Ignore the time difference between two bottoms, my Firewall blocked NTP from the bottom left and now its fixed :)
 
I taught it might relate to performance (running on i7-4447T) issue. BI report 100% CPU sometimes.
I've checked performance tab and I see that only 3-5% of the GPU is used for video decode or 3D
In the details I see that BI service use GPU but it flash on and off, is that OK ?

How cam Task manager show the CPU at 23% while BI show 80-100% ?

Its live realtime from the UI directly
I've installed BI update tool, and now i'm reporting to
I can see that it collected wrong information, or its right and I have problem with configuration.
All my cams are 15FPS and continues, with default video decode (Intel)
@bp2008 Bug in the service or issue with my BI Server ?

Optimizing Blue Iris's CPU Usage

Blue Iris uses a lot of CPU time. In most Blue Iris installations, your CPU is the limiting factor which determines how many cameras you can have. As such, it is extremely important to optimize your configuration to ensure you can get the most out of your system while consuming the least...

1) Are you running a virus program. If so make sure it is not scanning any BI folders.
2) something else is running on your PC BI is at 58% and the computer is at 100%. Did you do a clean install of windows 10 with the Microsoft media creation tool ?
3) Change all the cameras to use a BVR format.
4) are you running BI as a service ?
5) are you running the BI PC headless (no monitor) ?

Provide a screen shots
1) the windows 10 task manager processes, with the GPU columns, sorted by memory (most on top)
2) BI status cameras
3) Bi status clip storage.

This is going to take some time to figure out what is going on, this type of problem normally is not a quick fix.

1. AV is off.
2. Nothing installed, however its NUC that came as is never used for anything. Maybe coming with bloatware. Worth fresh installing?

The FPS column is a little bit complex. First, BiUpdateHelper asks Blue Iris's web server for a camera list. The camera list includes the current FPS of each camera. The FPS is not actually the frame rate sent by the camera to Blue Iris. The FPS is the frame rate that Blue Iris was able to decode during the last few seconds. So in cases where the computer is overloaded, the FPS values can be substantially lower. This is likely what happened in your case.

To complicate things, sometimes BiUpdateHelper can't retrieve a current FPS value for some or all camera(s) from the web server, so it falls back to reading the "Max rate" field from the BI camera properties. Unfortunately the "Max rate" field is typically equal to or higher than the highest FPS ever received from the camera, so if this fallback is used, then the FPS value shown may be higher than actual, in effect causing the system to look more powerful than it really is.

The CPU utilization looks good.
It is recommended that you use a monitor or a hdmi dummy plug.
It does not seem critical at this time but it is recommended that you do a clean install for windows 10 for the microsoft media creation tool.
Are you using any WIFI for the cameras or for accessing the display ?
For your display are you using UI3 or RDP to access BI ?

You are storing your video on the C drive, this is not a good idea. What is the allocation for the NEW folder, What is the allocation for the Stored folder ?
What does your BVR file sizes look like, max size ?

What is a dummy plug ? I have MiniHDMI to HDMI adapter. it might work ? How can I tell ?

I just did quick fresh install using Windows 10 Pro 1909, no issue because just BI installed.
I have 3 wires Dahua, and one Hik 6003 Wi-Fi doorbell.

For viewing I use UI3. Obviously I use RDP for some maintenance/update/changes

I know about the HDD, but its more performance issue with more cameras right ? it might effect CPU ?
I have NEW set for 250GB and Age 7, after that delete.
BVR limited to 1GB

I also suspect that the NUC fan is dead, I can't hear anything and if it overloaded for sometime it powers off, guessing its protection or something

good disk setup with only using new and not using stored. I do not use time to limit storage, just space. Good file size at 1GB.

Nothing to do with your problem, but in the first screen shot one camera does not have time and the other two are different by 2 minutes. Have all the camera put time stamps on the video, do not use BI to put time stamps. On your BI PC set up a time server NetTime - Network Time Synchronization Tool use BI PC NTP to set the time in the cameras.

I do not know why the cpu shows different. Try this run UI3 and look at the windows task manager CPU.

Do you have a Pre-trigger video buffer or different buffer sizes on the cameras?

I know, however all my cameras are BVR and Direct for sure.

Pre-Trigger is marked, but set to Zero. I'm doing continues recording so should I uncheck it ?

Definitely uncheck the Pre-Trigger box; it's having BI doing something even if its a minor nothing.

4096 is the suggested max bitrate for 4mp H264
2048 is the suggested max bitrate for 2mp H264

Would you be up to doing some troubleshooting; i.e. disabling all but one camera to see how it affects the system performance?

Also, providing screen captures of BI setup (all tabs) as well as the settings of one camera?

There's something, someplace that's out of whack; (my) guesses weren't it. So as Sgt Friday (didnt actually) said, "just the facts, just the facts" and screen captures are the way to provide them.

I'm up to check everything, why not :)
Started checking for i5-4570 meanwhile. worth checking.

How trusty is this document ? saw it in the past but wasn't sure about it.
Now that you mentioned it, I went to explore and I've found this - CBR vs VBR vs MBR - Surveillance Streaming
Do you agree I should go with VBR + Limit to mentioned in the document + Smart Codec ?
 
disable the camera that is not working, You are wasting CPU time doing nothing.

The direct to disk information in BIupdatehelper is not accurate. It is normally unknown.

Make sure all your cameras are set to record in BVR.

Reboot after make changes so you get a clean start.
