the 5442 is unfortunatly out of production. But currently i'm testing a HDW5459T-ZE-IL, altough i didnt have the oppurtunity to buy the well known 5442's i got this one for a realy nice price as i ordered a big bulk of 5442's when the end of production notice was sent and shop wanted to let me try 1 for a nice price, and if I liked them I can buy more off course.
Currently testing the HDW5459T-ZE-IL but for now looks pretty good! Alot better then 8mp/1.2" Hik Colorvu cameras from couple years ago installation and totally mislead by different shop here in Holland.
Please post pictures of this camera you are testing at night with motion.
One can still purchase the EmpireTech 54IR series (which is the 5442 without the logo for the foreseeable future until the sensor is no longer available).
Please buy them all, so that we can finally move on to its successorCan you please stop directing people to Andy's shop for "EmpireTech 54IR", until I save enough to buy a couple (more)?
And definitely do not inform people of Andy's Refurbished Cameras!

Speaking of which, I'd like to consider fixed lens as well. Is there a calculator that converts varifocal zoom number to the nearest fixed lens?I prefer the Fixed lens model where I can. A little better low light specs
