Dahua SD49225XA-HNR Auto Tracking Enabled Firmware.

Hi, does anybody know if is there a firmware to enable auto track on Dahua SD49425GB-HNR?
 
I know that this post is actually about the auto-tracking firmware, but I'm asking here anyway. :)

I just saw that there is a new firmware for the SD49225XA-HNR from July 2024 (DH_SD-Prometheus_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.812.0000047.2.R.240723). Has anyone by any chance tested it? The release notes do not contain any information about any changes and/or bugs that may have been fixed.

I myself am still using the firmware version V2.812.0000032.2.R, build date: 2022-08-04 with the camera and I am surprised that there is now a new firmware version for the EOL camera. Actually, this only happens with Dahua EOL products if it closes a (serious) security gap.
 
The autotracking is a function with the fw, software will not make it working.
This PTZ around 8 years old, time to buy a real autotracking version bro.
 
It was purchased recently. I was misled by the camera's name, SD49225XA, thinking that the S2 version comes with auto tracking... then I believed that by changing the firmware I would get auto tracking. :confused:

That model is end of life for 4 years i think. Old stocks from some guys.

S2 is the newer model, but as I said, Dahua removed autotracking from that camera during the S1 run, but the firmware could be flashed to make an S1 autotracking (thus this post), but the S2 is an entirely different system.

Did you buy from a reputable seller than you can return?

Unfortunately is too late to be returned...it past 14 days.

P.S. Because of hardware of S2 is not possible to flash the firmware? In the future is not any luck? :)

I believe frigate can do auto tracking even with the S2, otherwise you're stuck with what you've got. There is no way to do auto tracking on the camera itself.

The 8mp version is still not EOL in some regions of dahua website. They have the new UI with the same unofficial auto tracking Prometheus firmware. Wondering if the 2mp and 4mp also got this new update
