I’ve been configuring Dahua DVR and NVR‘s for 10 years and this new 5.0 GUI is a lot to take in. this particular NVR is a 5216Ei, after I configured a few days ago it did a firmware update and it updated to March 2026.
My favorite Dahua feature to show my customers is how easy it is to do playback. Select a few cameras pick a date, click on the colored lines at the bottom. I always set up 24 hour, motion, intelligent, and sometimes Alarm so it’s easy for them to find where the blue and red recordings are.
Is there a way directly in the NVR running 5.0 to show 4 timelines for 4 cameras separately and not merged like it always did if you selected more than 4 cameras?
