Yep, unless the release notes say it is fixing something you need and won't break something you use, best to leave it alone lol.

But yes, some of the new firmware could have two or three files you need to update, so update with that file as well.

EDIT: installed firmware.bin ok but got a warning about "incorrect update" (or some such) for the other 10kb file and it didn't install. No change to the Web connection issue., one way traffic only from the Web GUI, the camera works fine but anything that require it talking to the Web GUI, like scheduling sunrise/sunset in BI, doesn't work.

Which web browser are you using? Many here are 're-enabling' IE compatibility mode, others find it easier to simply install brave web browser

How to enable native Internet Explorer in Windows 10 and 11:

• Open Notepad:
• Copy then paste the single line of code below into Notepad:
• CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true
• Save as OpenIE.vbs
• Make sure the the file name ends in .vbs not .txt, If it ends in .txt you must rename to .vbs
• Create a shortcut to the above file and double-click it anytime you want native Internet Explorer.

Just caught up on your posts SpacemanSpiff, thanks you for that excellent advice.

I've just set up Notepad as above (I normally use Chrome) and just tested the Day/Night Utility and it works without any connect errors from the camera showing up which is fantastic, thank you so much and of course thanks to the OP TonyR too

There are some smart people on this forum and very helpful, there really are!

One question if I may, how long does the native IE last, if I reboot, I presume I need to click on the Notebook shortcut to re-enable it? EDIT: Excellent, it survives a restart, I'm very happily surprised. I have no idea how this fix actually works but its excellent!!!
