Dahua 4216 or 5216

When i move house i intend to install 6 times a dahua SD22204T-GN mini ptz.
So i think i will use my hikvision nvr only for the 5220 ptz and buy a new dahua nvr.

i have read the wiki page on dahua and the specifications. It seems the difference is that the 5216 is pro line and the 4216 is light line.

other difference is that the 5216 is quad core cpu, and the 4216 is dual core.

is there a good reason to go for the 5216 unit and not the 4216 ?

4216-4K or 5216-4KS2

I got the 4216-4k but today I'd consider the 5216-4KS2 for the quad core, it was not avilable when I got mine.. but I like the 8 alarm inputs on 4216-4k.

really you'd be fine with either of em.. mine's not suffering load issues, yet..

The 5216 has h.265 also it seems

16Kbps ~ 20Mbps Per Channel

So the 52xx seems bit newer.

it will be all 2MP cameras, but i have enough disk space to store almost 24x7 at high bitrate as we can only store 15 days of video legally.

will do the 5216 for the 80€ more (at least that is what i think i saw)

you want the -4k or -4ks2, they are newer..

it is a bit a gamble which type they sell on aliexpress sometimes.
i think i saw it for 300€ there but.. No mention of the 4K-S2 there..
indeed: 308€ including dhl shipping.

edit: this is a unit with poe, and that is €500 locally..

The camera's however are double the price locally.

Perhaps also sell all the hikvision stuff. Who knows if we sell the house the new owner wants to pay some, so i leave it all in place
