Got some gravel dumped at the house today. Apparently this fella has a hard time getting in and out of the truck so he came up with an ingenious was to add a low cost step.

Sure, he's carrying too much weight - hell on joints over the years.
I've had 3 joint replacements, and I'm underweight. No doc ever said I should lose weight, lol!
My pants waist size is the same as when I was in college, 40 yrs ago. Joints wear out.
As a kid, I loved Rube Goldberg contraptions. And the game "Mousetrap". Both those date, me, lol. His step would fit into that.
Seriously tho, that guy has a physical job, probably since he was young. My knees hurt when I saw him gimp away.

I figured you did. I've done that before...you think about typing "...I prefer to be behind him", then also think about "...I don't prefer to be in front of him" and when the characters hit the screen or ink hits the paper you've got a blend of the two, producing "...I prefer to be in front", totally opposite to what you intended.
At 70, I find I'm doing things that I want to do less and things that I do NOT want to do more !
BTW, I re-read the last line above 6 times to see if I said it correctly before I hit "POST".
