I'm an engineer and kept running into the same problem on internal CCTV layouts: working out what each camera actually covers once walls, doors and obstacles are in the way, and whether a room genuinely hits the pixel density you need. Calculators do one camera at a time and don't know about the walls, and doing it by hand on a floor plan is slow and easy to get wrong.
So I built a browser tool for it. You load a floor plan image, set the scale, draw the walls and doors, then drop cameras on. It shows each camera's coverage wedge with occlusion, pixel density and DORI ranges, and gives a pass/fail coverage check per room.
Its very early stages so let me know if anything does not work or you think would be good.
Saved me several hours per project so far.
This is not selling just looking to save people time and for feedback. Thanks!CCTV Calculator
