Hi Guys & Girls
In the 70's as I child (yes still childish now!). I was given a 27 MHz AM Walkie Talkie from the USA. From those days of listening to the lovely skip propergation from the USA to the UK, I got hooked into CB. Still got as pictured, a President Grant (PC999 board circa 1978). Paid a UK repair guy to fix it during COVID situation, cost £250.00, as it wouldn't transmit.
Now all sorted.

Any breakers copy copy 10/4 good buddies?

Me and a buddy had these when we were kids in the late 70's... with a big stick antenna on the roof... the signal to get on the air was calling on the phone and hanging up after one ring

Wow! Just 40 channels AM modulation.
Still people on the rigs these days, surprisingly.
I've got a Quensheng modded firmware and it received some skip propergation from the USA late afternoon yesterday on 27 MHz AM. Good old days. 10/10

I got mine while I was still in the service. A lot of nights I would skip to New Orleans (from Michigan). Christmas of 1975 everyone and their brother got one and it all went to hell because all the new people understood NO rules of etiquette. Then I went SSB and those channels were good for a while because the rigs cost more. By '77 I was done with it. Just not worth the people talking over your signal.
