cat 5 wire

i've been using pre-made cat 5/5e utp pure copper stranded from monoprice for poe cams since i set up
a system just before registering here with no problems, reading thru the site and the wiki when i can i
wonder if i should rewire, my longest run is 1-100ft 2-50ft and 3-25ft runs on poe, most all the solid wire
is 1000ft spools then tools and terminals, put it simple, what would i gain ?

If its working, why mess with it?

Those are short runs. Should be fine, I'd worry about whats in your signature, you say "failing" on your Poe switch.

With 6 cameras and your distance, you will be fine with Cat5

Most of the time your bottleneck will be your network hardware.

The biggest issue with stranded wire is that you cannot use it to "punch down" connections (found on many patch ports). As long as you can work with the pre-terminated ends, you will be fine using that solution.
