Hi everyone,

Have a Dahua NVR and cameras with cameras bought from Andy. NVR Model: NVR4216-16P-4KSS2

VGA is going to standard computer monitor. Displays 1920X1080 correctly.

HDMI is going to a HDMI over CAT 6 Extender to TV downstairs. Amazon Link Here HDMI

I can see 1280X1024 resolution on TV just fine using the extender device. But will not display 1920X1080. Says "no video signal"

When NVR first boots up, I can see Dahua NVR logo on TV. Then when loads cameras nothing. LCD Monitor connected VGA looks fine on 1080p.

Why will TV not display 1080p signal?

*Note

I tested a standard DVD Player upstairs in NVR room. Hooked DVD player to NVR and video signal displayed fine on tv downstairs in 1080p. So I believe my HDMI over CAT extender is working fine.

Hi @stevef22

Start with the most basic test:
Test with the NVR hooked up via HDMI to a local display ( leave the VGA disconnected ). Does it work in 1920x1080?

Hi Mat200, thx for reply.

Yes, Straight connection, no CAT6 Extender: HDMI to local LCD display (left vga disconnected). Displays 1920X1080 correctly.

HDMI though CAT6 Extender displays NVR logo, then nothing.

Hi stevef22

OK, now try the Cat6 extender with a known good short cat6 cable.
