I got a camera at the front of my house its a Hikvision 2CD2387LISU/SL. We have some talls plants and theyve started to grow pretty tall. They are not over grown, its just how they are. The camera was probably put in this spot by the previous owner of the house without the consideration of the type of plant it is
Anyway I will eventually move it back a little ( only about half a meter is the room I have ) but for the meantime is there a way to reduce the IR illumination for night mode only around the tree?

Thanks in advance

I have the same problem. The camera adjusts to the brightly lit plant, making everything you really want to see dark. My solution, maybe should be called a workaround, was to run an IR illuminator in front of the plant, and run the camera IR on a very low setting.

You could try cutting small pieces of electrical tape and gluing them to the appropriate spots on the IR LED lenses on the camera to black-out IR light around tree area...

Or simply move/rotate the camera to the left so it doesn't show the tree in the center.

You could disable IR on the cam and install an IR illuminator and light up the area from a different angle.

Disclaimer: It does not add x-ray abilities, so the growth will still impede the view

We have that saw as well. Works great, as long as you let it do the work and don't try to force it.

Yeah I got the extension pole and that’s handy to trim low hanging and dead branches.

It’s probably not the best but it does the job and so far has been reliable

As the crew above have replied,

Short answer: no,

Long answer: pan the camera left so the shrub isn't in the image.

Then I loose vision of the right hand path that goes to my gate. The left side already has a camera there
Ill just leave it and move the camera later. Thanks !
