Does anyone know
  1. how to make this camera write to the onboard memory
  2. how to display channel 0 by default in a Windows web-browser
For the first of these issues I can confirm that I have tested the camera with both a Samsung Evo Plus micro-SDXC and, now, a Sandisk Extreme micro-SDXC, both 256 Gb. In both cases the camera accepted them and allowed the cards to be formatted. In both cases the camera does not write to the cards and insists on trying to write to the local disk of my PC, via its network connection to the router. I have, additionally, tried formatting the cards on the PC before adding them to the camera, and in both cases this did not resolve the problem of the camera not writing to the SIM card.

Currently the onboard micro-SD card is showing some usage of the card (despite the camera seemingly refusing to write to it), but another problem, here, is that of being able to access whatever it is that has been written to the card.

Accessing the camera via my mobile handset - Hik-Connect app - the footage is recorded to the handset and can be both accessed and viewed via the same app. The display can also be set to use channel 0 by default on the mobile app and this works when viewing the camera display, too.

My current configuration is as follows, and I am not currently using an NVR. The mobile app connects to the camera via WiFi.
