Hi all. I'm a maintenance manager at a heavily wooded campground in central NJ. Mgmt has asked me to put together a plan to buy and install security cameras because of vandalism issues. Because we have a LOT of trees, my line-of-sight coverage will dictate that we'll need three unique zones that do not communicate with each other. Obviously this means three full sets of hardware and three unique access points. Any ideas welcomed. Sorry I'm new to this universe of acronyms and technology so your patience is appreciated.
Also note that due to corporate spending limits, no single purchase of hardware can exceed $500 incl tax and shipping, but I can do as many purchases as needed over the summer/fall. Ideally a mix of 2K cams for the indoor cams and 4K for most of the outdoor ones, with NVRs with local monitor/screen and remote (phone) access.
Zone 1 : Camp store/entrance utilizing local Starlink wifi network connection. Anticipating needing 5 PoE cameras (2 inside, 3 outside) and 1--2 wireless IP cams with solar mounted 10--20 yards from main bldg.
Zone 2 : Pool/Lounge/Laundry utilizing #1 Verizon FSNO21VA Internet Gateway for wifi/remote access . Anticipating needing 2 PoE cams and up to 5 wireless with solar --- spread between 3 buildings.
Zone 3 : Bathhouse3 utilizing #2 Verizon FSNO21VA Internet Gateway for wifi/remote access. Anticipating needing 3 PoE cams and 3 wireless with solar.
We MAY be able to utilize a well pump outbuilding as a relay point between Zones 2 and 3 .... approx 80 yards between bathhouse3 and the well shed, and approx 100 yards to the Pool building which will likely be the "hub" of that Zone 2. Again, we are heavily wooded, so underground cabling would not be feasible so if communication between buildings and/or zones is needed, wifi would be our best shot.
Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer as best I can. What sort of hardware list recommended? (Remembering that each order has to be under the $500 cap). Thank you all in advance! Eager for any and all input so I can learn on the fly.
