Hello. I have the same problem as OP.
I'm installer of CCTV systems for almost 20 years, but this is something new for me (link to full length video on my google drive):
For those who does not understand lithuanian language- camera wakes up when I put her in my warm pocket, and dies when outside (-10°C). Now I have about 11 pcs of them from different locations with the same problem (and most of them just expired waranty period). That drives me crazy now, what to tell to my clients ??? I recommended these cameras

Yes. Some of them are connected to Dahua NVR PoE ports, the others- to IEEE802.3af/at PoE switch ports. But, this is the only model that fails this cold winter. And only random cameras of this model has the problem.are you powering with 802.3 AT rated voltage & wattage?

What's interesting, i dont't think that camera turns off when is offline. The first thing I do to troubleshoot is my hand on cameras face- she always turns IR light, which means, that camera is booted up, just not communicates through LAN port.I wonder if Dahua NVR/Camera have a log file that may indicate the root cause.
Although, if the root cause is a low temperature, we will probably won't see anything in the log (unless the camera have a temperature sensor, which is unlikely).
Sounds like one of the chips/CPU cannot work in a low temperature. What's interesting, i dont't think that camera turns off when is offline. Obout -10°C during my test. But at night was more cold...Sounds like one of the chips/CPU cannot work in a low temperature.
Do you know what was the temperature outside (assuming the camera is outside) when the camera went down (out of interest)?
According to the specs, it should work in -40 C.Obout -10°C during my test. But at night was more cold...

Yes, I know all the specs, I'we installed hundreds of various dahua cameras, but first time have problem like this. That's why I'm shearing this info with community...According to the specs, it should work in -40 C.
