Camera hack painting

Been thinking about buying this PTZ, but I don't know if I'm smart enough to get it working. I would have to paint mine also, was that any problem? Thanks for your time.
 
It is not very complicated to paint it You have to protect the optics and IR with a tape for painting and i protected axes and bearings with rolled toilet paper :)

Looks good. I painted some of my starlights. But I used some of my leftover paint from my facia and soffits. Not exactly the right kind of paint but I wanted it to be an exact match. Turned out looking like shit once it started peeling lol.

I have also been interested in this cam - but did they ever get it to work with presets?

Why not use a proper paint as a primer, scuff up that surface, then use your matching paint?

If I was to do it again I would. I only painted 2 white ones at first. Since then I’ve started using the black turrets and they really blend in well enough that I don’t worry about painting.
