Hello,
I have a C6F0SgZ0N0PfL2 camera, which I control using the HiCamPro app.
Firmware: V18.1.33.11.51-20210818
The camera is approximately 4–5 years old, installed outdoors, and has been working reliably without any problems until about a week ago.
Recently, I started experiencing the following problem:
After rebooting, the camera performs its normal self-check and moves to its default/initial position. However, once it reaches this position, I cannot move the camera left or right.
I also created a new preferred/default position and rebooted the camera. Unfortunately, after the reboot, it performed the self-check, returned to the same problematic position, and again could not move left or right.
I have also tried:
What I find interesting is that when I send a left/right command while the camera is in the problematic position, I can clearly hear the motor running/trying to move. If I manually rotate the camera by approximately 10 degrees, horizontal movement immediately starts working again.
What could be causing this?
Could this be a problem with the horizontal (Pan) motor, gears/mechanical mechanism, position sensor, limit switch, or some other hardware issue that occurs only at a specific position?
I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions on how I can determine whether this is a hardware problem and what exactly I should check.

- Up/down (Tilt) movement works normally.
- When I send a command to move left or right, I can hear the motor making a noise, as if it is trying to move, but the camera does not rotate.
- If I manually rotate the camera by approximately 10 degrees, horizontal movement starts working normally again.
- After every reboot, the camera performs the self-check, returns to the same position, and the horizontal movement stops working again.
I also created a new preferred/default position and rebooted the camera. Unfortunately, after the reboot, it performed the self-check, returned to the same problematic position, and again could not move left or right.
I have also tried:
- Factory reset;
- Reconfiguring the camera from scratch;
- Setting a new default position;
- Completely disconnecting the camera from power and the network for some time.
