Hello all,
First post
I got for a very low price a new "8 channel/4 PoE" NVR from the Brazilian brand CS, which in fact is a Hikvision machine. The current firmware is not even rebranded, there's Hikvision written everywhere. The model name says NVR2608P. It's weird because the box says 8 channel with 4 PoE, model name in Device Information says 2608, but a few lines down there's "Number of Channels: 4". And I only have 4 ports on the back. Could it be that I own a DS-7604-something? Unlike original Hikvisions that I know, this one have lots of buttons on its front panel.
Current firmware is V3.0.15 build 150528. I don't know if this model follows the usual Hikvision firmware version numbering, but it is for sure old firmware. I checked with CS' support and they say this is the last version available.
Do you people know of any way to load a true Hikvision firmware into this? The machine is working well, but I'd like to have current firmware to get the latest security improvements.
Thank you
