Blue Iris with NVR

Newbie question....

I’m running a dedicated 8 port NVR that has 8 built in POE connections. Then there is a separate port for network. The The notifications from the NVR suck and would like to add Blue Iris to eventually replace the NVR. Before I remove the NVR I would like to run them both together.

Question is. Can Blue Iris acess cameras behind a NVR?

Yes. There are some threads discussing this. for example Accessing rtsp of Cameras Managed by NVR
Or you can stream direct from the nvr itself.
Easiest thing to do is get a poe switch and stream to both.
