Blue Iris not updating

Currently on 5.9.9.87
Getting window showing that I can "Install latest update available 5.9.9.90 (10/5/2025)"
Selecting basically shuts down Blue Iris, but does not update.
I can manually restart, which then again lets me know an update is available.

I experienced the same thing when I tried to update from 5.9.9.87 to 5.9.9.88. After several retries it finally updated and has been fine since. Anyway, if you can't get it to update you might want to just download the update and do a manual install.

Thanks- At first I thought BI was shutting down, and the update process was not starting. But in EventViewer, it is crashing. I am also seeing it crash when hitting "ESC" to get out of full screen mode. Will try to update manually
 
Follow up- I didn't have an ad-blocker on my security server. When trying to download 64-bit 5.9.9.90, got hit with a few pop-up porn images, before taking over the browser. Beware.

Other than that, I am now successfully updated to 5.9.9.90.

Interesting im on 5.9.9.89 and i keep getting alerts to update but no version is working after. 5.9.9.91 also does nothing but shuts down the server and thats it.
whats going on
 
Just disable the Blue Iris Service, reboot the computer and run the manual update. After the update, set the Blue Iris Service to Automatic and reboot the computer. Blue Iris will run as normal. Maybe it'll clear up the update error next time it auto updates. I manually updated to 5.9.9.98. Download that update and run it.
