I just upgraded my analog camera DVR from a Swann DVR8-4900 to a Hanwai ARD‑810. It seemed to work well until I noticed that Blue Iris is throwing red “Check FPS and Key Rates.” errors and my server's CPU is ranging between 90-100% - it used to run at 50-60% with the Swann DVR. An AI query revealed that my Hanwai RTSP output uses dynamic frame timing and adaptive GOP. It outputs a fixed, non‑standard, variable‑frame‑rate RTSP stream that BI6 cannot decode cleanly, leaving Blue Iris stuck in a CPU‑heavy error‑correction mode. Does anyone have a workaround for this issue? Is there anything in BI development that would improve BI handling of this type of RSTP stream?

I was using this model with low CPU % in Blue Iris 5, until I slowly migrated away from analog. seemed to work with no issues. on a i5-4590 dell 9020.
Thanks, but I run 5MP AHD cameras. I'd prefer to be able to use the otherwise more capable Hanwai. Fallback is to my Swann DVR8-4900 that has its own issues
for trouble free BI RSTP streaming it was gold. just needed the DVR/XVR IP address, for each new cam in BI and the select the Channel #'s that were populated with Cams.
being able to record the streams to BI was it's only major function. Getting away from any DVR interface was the win.
I was running 5MP AHD nightowls and amcrest 2MP's on it.
My whole goal was to avoid logging into the DVR for anything.
