When I say significant I mean 1 or 2 minutes. When I open a door in front of the cameras or move the drapes in the window, it can take 1 to 2 minutes for that move to appear on the BI console where all the cameras are displayed. My CPU is at 30%, my GPU is at 27%, and memory is at 12GB out of 24GB available, and I am running the latest version of BI 6.0.4.1.
My cameras are 10 Lorex E891AB and one Lorex E892AB. The delay is on two E891AB and the E892AB; I haven't checked the others.

Also the notifications arrive on my phone app about two minutes after the event. Of course not for the door opening but for a car moving in front of the camera.

To add to the strangeness of it all, sometimes, without me doing any thing, the delay is totally gone, meaning that the move appears instantly on the console or the phone app.

Why is there such a delay and such a variation in the behavior ?

Are your cameras going thru the router to get to the BI computer? In other words, if you unplug your router, will your BI computer still see all the cameras?

I unpluged my HP ProCurve switch (where all my cameras are pluged for data and POE) from my router and I can see all the cameras on my BI server. I also took the power off on my router and again all my cameras can be seen on my BI server.

As the BI support suggested, since I still had the V5 EXE files on my pc, I uninstalled V5, exported the settings before uninstalling V6. Downloaded the V6 EXE from BI web site, reinstalled it, imported the settings and it seems to be working fine for now. This is so much like "Did you restarted your PC ?" situation. Simple and efficient.
