Axis Q6315-LE PTZ and D2110-VE Radar Unit Sample Videos

now thats a pipe dream . The guy that sold it to me is a retired FBI/LE and sold me two sightlogix thermal cams for $50 each. I'm planning on attaching it to a q6000-e-mkii and I'm just waiting for that kit to arrive. I do like that you can get spare parts somewhat easily as I got spare lens from B&H just in case.
I'm jealous haha. It looks like the Q6000-E-MKII is ancient and has been discontinued for a very long time. The latest firmware is Axis OS 6.50.5.20 - PSS (Product Specific Support) and the support for new firmware ended 3/10/2025. I've never used that firmware version but I believe Axis did not add support for Chrome or other browsers until Axis OS 7.

So you may need to use Internet Explorer with Axis Media Control. AXIS Media Control | Axis Communications

Let me know how the setup process goes with it.

Will do. The attachment kit will take a while and I'm frugal so $100 for a like new q6000-e-mk2 isnt too bad for messing around. I'm not trying to do anything fancy just feeding this terrible hobby and I've always wanted one of these since I saw the neighboring town had a few setup similar to these there.

Any updates with the radar and PTZ? Are you still liking the set up?
Sorry for the delayed response. I tried to respond when you posted but I wasn't able to login to my ipcamtalk account for some reason.

I do like the setup, but I disconnected the radar a little while ago because I was testing the PTZ camera on a cloud based platform, and I haven't gotten around to setting it up again.

The only real complaint I had with this specific radar model was that it would false alarm and classify deer as people. This unit is running an ARTPEC-7 SoC which is now pretty old. Axis just released a new series of radar units that are running the new ARTPEC SoC's. It also looks like they'll physically integrate with the newer PTZ's so they don't have to be mounted separately. In addition, the new units will allow the user to configure it so both the radar and PTZ have to verify the object's classification before generating an alert.

Between the updated Q6355-LE PTZ and the next generation radar units, my setup is now pretty now pretty obsolete.

Here's a link to the article discussing the newer radar units- Axis Communications debuts latest multisensory technologies for smarter security at the 2025 Global Security Exchange

When I get my hands on the new units, I'll post an update, but that won't be for a while.
