Assistance with changing IP on IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 2MP

Hello,

Thanks for your time in advance. I have initiated the camera via config tool. However I have been unsuccessful in changing the camera's ip address with the config tool. I either receive the incorrect password or host error when I attempt to change the camera ip. I have attempted to change my ip from my computer and am still unable to view the camera from the config tool or entering the ip in directly to my browser.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 2MP Dome camera purchased from Andy.

I've had trouble getting the IP to change via config tool also. I usually connect to the camera via a web browser and changing the IP that way.

Did you change your ip to match the ip on the camera in order to find it? Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean, assuming you initialized it and set a password and are on your home network and your IP in your home network is still 192.168.1.xx you can type in http://192.168.1.108 and enter in the the username and password.

That's where I am stuck. My home network is 10.0.0.xxx and even if I change it to the 192.168.1.xxx I am unsuccessful. But I suppose I can't change the camera ip address first?

So that happened to me at work. What I did was disconnect my computer from the network and assigned a tcp/ip address of something like 192.168.1.45 , I then plugged my computer into the switch that has the camera on it and that's how I was able to get into the camera.
