Anyone using this 198 LED illuminator?

CMVision IR130-198 LED Indoor/Outdoor Long Range 300-400ft IR Illuminator

It would appear to have a more focused beam (45 -60 degree) than what I'm looking for but I recall reading a review where the end-user put diffuser film over it to scatter the IR significantly better. If mounted on a corner location then something closer to 200 to 220 degrees would be awesome. Anyone have experience using a particular diffuser film on this or a similar illuminator?
 
Would you say it puts out a beam of around 60 degrees? And, do you think it's a pretty good product?

Maybe I'll need to get two of them to mount on a corner plus apply a diffuser film over the glass cover.
 
I hope this might help, have 2 cameras. Included are day time and nighttime shots. Mind you, the second camera is a License plate reader.

as for your questions, yes I'v very happy about the IR lamp. But once I did have to open up and drain water and condensation out of the insides. I live in the high desert. Might be a problem in wet climates. Might consider adding some extra silica jel pack inside to keep dry. (read some customers feedback on amazon)

So the first thing I should do if I purchase one is take it apart then reseal it? I've read this complaint before on Amazon.

Make sure you have the IR enabled at night. I turn mine off sometimes because ambient light is better than the camera IR which is more a focused beam on my Dahau cams.

Which model IR illuminator is that?
 
I have the BI18 for plate capture at about 120ft.. works pretty good.
