@Jim_OS
I have tested it with my Frigate instance. When calling the control tools, I receive the following error message. My assumption is that ONVIF is not supported.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm a little surprised that all previous DB41 models (including the OEM models from Amcrest and Imou) had ONVIF, but it's missing in the DB41. After all, Dahua didn't have to develop the firmware for the DB41 from scratch. Okay, maybe the DB41 has a different CPU, but that shouldn't really matter regarding ONVIF.
The only conceivable reason would be that Dahua wants to encourage users to use the Dahua app and possibly Dahua Cloud, and therefore hasn't implemented ONVIF (yet). But that's just speculation on my part, of course.
Let's hope that ONVIF will be added to the DB41 via a firmware update. Without ONVIF, the DB41 is out of the question for me.
Today I noticed and maybe missed before because I do not use often the DMSS macOS APP a small red banner with this message inside:
Ihr Mobiltelefon is jailbroken. Bitte seien Sie vorsichtig
Translated: Your mobile phone is jailbroken. Please be careful.
Did someone have the same red banner on macOS? On my iPhone withthe latest iOS I do not see such a banner!
The only thing I know - that you can download DMSS in the mac APP store and the store says: not for mac checked.
