Hi everyone, I have a DT81DX that I want to upgrade to V4.75 to enable the event markers on the playback timeline in the remote app (yeah, I know). I contacted ANNKE and I was told the latest they had for this unit was
V4.71.111_231226. From reading a few replies to this thread, it is possible to use the original Hik firmware on this DVR, but I want confirm a few things before attempting this.
- For people who have upgraded this or other ANNKE recorders (NVR/DVR), has functionality been reduced? Did it result in a brick?
- Will the download from hikvisioneurope work, or will I need to find a NEU variant? If it is the latter, it looks like Mazisecurity has it available for download, but it might rebrand the unit.
- Is the platform K20A9S? A user claimed to have successfully used ids-7208huhi-m1/s firmware on this device.
- Am I correct in assuming that I'll have to unlink the device from ANNKE Vision before the upgrade and link it with Hik-Connect afterwards? Has anyone had issues with registration after doing this?
