AMD vs Intel for BI?

Not that far off building hopefully. Just wondering what the above situation was these days AMD vs Intel? I know the Wiki still says Intel, however, I seem to remember several threads that say these days don't use HW acceleration in BI, in which case if you're not using Quicksync to do the encoding, but integrated graphics or an internal card,does it matter anymore if it's Intel or Amd?
