Al(j)hua camera

Hello, I purchased a couple of these cameras. The name is Ajhua and the model # is DH-SD22204T-GN. Neither of the cameras came with any software to set them up. I did find a program that can setup the IP address.

The problem is that I use no-ip as a service. The camera does not allow me to change the DDNS setups, only what they support: DDNS.net, dynupdate and 2 two others.

Does anyone know how to make this camera work with other DDns services.

It's Dahua :p Love the way people read it wrong. I always thought it was Caihua.
They really need to get a better logo..

If the camera does not support no-ip, it simply does not. Just use DDNS or something on the list.
Other method could be firmware hacking but that's very complicated.

DDNS.net is No-IP. If you look there, then you'll see it listed as an option and you can set up another host under that domain naming.

If you're already using a dynamic DNS and have some other computer/device establishing your dynamic IP then you don't really need to. All you need is one to set the path to the entire network behind that same public IP.

I am using no-ip DUC which updates every 5 min. I like your suggestion but I have no idea how to do that. Oh, on the bottom of the camera is name AJhua and dahua vision technologies.

If you're using the no-ip program elsewhere, then there's no need to do anything on that camera or change anything on no-ip. Your host address already is being advertised and will resolve to your public IP. Assuming that it's on your same net anyway. All you need is one instance of the updater to tell the DNS what your current IP is.
 
Mike would it be possible for you to give me an example? I have a web???.no-ip.net and a camera named dome1 192.168.1.29 how would I add that to bluiris?

Depends on how you're accessing the host device. In all cases you'd reference it in the form: IP Address or DDNS Host Name : Port Number

So, accessing it internally assuming that the camera is listening on port 80, then it would be: 192.168.1.29:80

From outside of your network using a forwarded port on your router, it would be: Public IP Address or DDNS Host name : Port Number, e.g., yourhostname.no-ip.net:80 or as 123.123.123.123:80 if you know the IP.

If using VPN, then you'd use the DDNS host name or known public IP to set up the host destination in your VPN client and then reference the camera : port as an internal IP address as above.

Again, as long as you have some device which is running the no-ip updater (doesn't need to be that camera), then it will resolve that hostname to your public IP address. The camera doesn't care that it isn't providing the updates, it just responds when something hits it on the listening port.
 
The stylized "D" and "a" are hard to figure out unless you know ahead of time that it is for Dahua. It's pronounced DaWa too, just to confuse you a bit more. Seems like the majority of English speakers pronounce it daHOOa though.

I called NO-IP and spoke with tech support they were extremely helpful and explained in great detail how ddns works. All is working now and I want to thank all who responded to my help request. I really appreciate it. Someone mentioned a web store to purchase dahua cameras, seems like it was a persons name on Aliexpress. Could someone post the vendor address.

This is the "Dahua" logo....The "D" is a lowercase "d" and the first "a" is inside the hole at the bottom of the "d"...

I get it, that I cannot read their logo. I appreciate all the logo help, but I think I got it.
