AI is a tool, and tools can either be used constructively, destructively, or just rot your brain. The few who leverage it constructively will win big, those who just use it to rot their brain will lose, and the terrorists will have a powerful weapon.

AI has no intention, so poor outcomes would be the result of malicious intent or negligent programming. Avoid the paper-clip problem and it's mostly just a powerful tool.

The thing most worrisome to me about all technology (and AI in particular) is that it tends to further alienate people from others. More independence means less interdependence. We're going to be so helpless to resist "content" aimed precisely at our individual preferences that we'll forget to chase after women and create families. Global population will plummet, and we're going to need automation to maintain a high standard of living as fewer and fewer people are working.

I would think twice before seeing your doctor. There is a 99% chance that AI is doing most of the work for them which INCLUDES MEDICAL DECISION MAKING, SENDING PRESCRIPTIONS, and COMPLETING PATIENT CHARTS! The biggest concern is Medical Decision Making and there is no entity overseeing what happens behind closed doors in a physician's office.
