AI Good and Bad

Lots of chatter about this.

I have limited knowledge about the big AI picture, but.....
.....I wonder how the markets will react Monday???

They sound worried...

About AI escaping? Or about their checkbooks evaporating?

Something big happened.

No way they just got together on a Saturday BBQ outing and said "Ya know, we should slow down"

Right before the biggest IPO EVER, bigger than SPACEX, with almost a Trillion$ in CAPEX committed...

No, something happened

Or is it just this?

They need your money and its easier to steal it with government help.
So they're going to the Professional thieves and grifters (your government) and the Mad King in DC to show them how its done.

Ahhh
Its probably just all a big PsyOp Chinese social media influencer scam...

Or maybe its just about the money

Best two guesses I've read so far

1- They need more money than private sector can possible give them, so get .Gov to regulate you and "invest" in the future" using taxpayer dollars
.Gov thinks folks will flee to treasuries, which they want to happen to help slow down the rising yields

or #2 which sounds bad

Credit due to @mat200 if it ( the influencer story) plays out

Though it may not matter depending on what we hear/see in the next 48 hours or so

EU Asia can still support Open Source AI

So my guess is that USA laws aka regulations help keep the USA frontier AI companies USA customers

There is no good to AI apart from maybe in the medical research field. It's sole purpose is to allow the super rich to become more super rich by doing away with workers & replacing them with AI thus saving them millions per year. Meanwhile everyone else is unemployed & poor.

Business owners needn't think they're bosses & going to survive either because everyone unemployed = no-one with any money to spend on non essentials = no spending in ordinary businesses be they retail or leisure based. No cars, no travel etc. There's an idea that all those at the top will sruvive AI. They won't. The only wealthy surviving are Amazon or the 1 or 2 people able to set up super huge Amazon type conglomerates supplying essentials such as food. Even then the work there will be done by stacking & picnking robots, so no jobs apart from maybe 1 or 2 techs to keep the whole place running.

The future with AI looks like 1 or 2 Amazon size companies supplying bare essentials & everyone else out of work.

Also, no-one is talking about the environmental impact of the data centres necessary to power AI. They need Terawatts of power as I understand it and near some data centres it's been claimed they're putting out so much heat that the surrounding area up to 6 miles away is warmer by as much as 4 fahrenheight.
