Adding EmpireTech System to Existing Ubiquiti Network

Happened to stumble across this thread. @reefbyte did you ever manage to get this setup? I'm currently trying to add some ET camera's to a Ubiquiti network but want to be sure the cams cant phone home so am working on VLAN setup

Everything is working well. Here's what I did:

1. The NVR and cameras are on a separate VLAN segment with fixed IP addresses for the devices.
2. I disabled "Allow Internet Access" on that vlan so the cameras and NVR cannot get to the Internet
3. Created a firewall rule to Allow the NVR IP to External Zone (Internet access) for Ports: 25, 53, 123
4. On the NVR, configured email using Gmail as the server to send notifications for any Alarms
5. Installed Wireguard VPN Server and created firewall rule to Allow VPN VLAN to NVR IP (to enable DMSS access on my phone to the cameras)

Excellent thank you for this. I plan to try to replicate a setup like this so nice to see it works. Out of curiosity, did you try to create a VPN profile using the WifiMan app (since that's a Unifi app)? also, are you using a regular NVR or are you using the Protect? I wonder if you'd be able to see the cameras via the Protect app since that's all local..

I did not use Teleport in Wifiman, although Teleport looks very easy to configure. I used the console to configure the Wireguard Server and client connections because I also connect from a laptop and other devices. Also, to keep it simple for my wife because there's not much to the Wireguard app.

I am using Empiretech equipment so I did not use Protect. I believe that you need to use Unifi cameras to use the Protect app.
