Hello,
After read a lot of threads, I'm searching for a 4k IP camera with 1/1.2" CMOS sensor with PoE.
I saw Empiretech cameras, that seems awesome, but without IR, only led lights.
I can't find any Dahua/Hickvision or another "cheap and reliable" brand with this requisites.
Exist any model 4k 1/1.2" and IR?
Regards

I don't know if you can make this work with third-party NVRs or if it needs to be Unifi Protect. It is also rather expensive and I don't know how it compares to what Dahua and Hikvision have available. But it does technically have a 1/1.2" 4K sensor and IR.

Wow, I need to renew 6 cameras, it's too expensive...
I can't see if it have onvif protocol (to use with 3rd party, as frigate).
Thanks for the info.

Who’s gonna take one for the team?

I will definitely buy this camera if it was Dahua and under $400. It seems like a nice upgrade compared to the current generation of Dahua cameras, at least on paper anyway. But I also don't want to deal with another brand of cameras other than Dahua and Hikvision right now.

Same as @JDreaming, if was Dahua or Hikvision under 400$...
I don't know why there aren't 4K cameras with IR and a 1/1.2" CMOS...

The problem for you is the general idea behind 1/1.2" in secuirty cameras is they're sensitive enough not to require IR. You're other alternative if you must have 4k 1/1.2" would be to add some ambient light. I always recommend a dusk to dawn light with a motion activated floodlight for backup. Often it only takes less than 10 watts. The dusk to dawn should enable you to see enough for the AI / camera to trip to record and get a reasonable picture. The point of the motion flood is when a subjext enters the interest zone, to flood the area with enough light to get a great picture. This set up gives you the best of both worlds - you still get a pic if the motion flood doesn't trip and should the background light fail, hopefully the flood still trips. Beware 1 issue with 1/1.2", they're prone to a shallow depth of field (focus).

But only EmpireTech IPC-Color4K-T / IPC-Color4K-T have 8MP and 1/1.2" CMOS. Dahua and Hickvision haven't cameras with 8MP and 1/1.2" CMOS (in a less than $200-$300).

EmpireTech are rebranded Dahua. Yes you probably won't find another brand with 1/1.2" for less than $300. You tend to pay more for larger sensors - sensor & processor more expensive, larger lens, larger casing etc. If you want it to actually say Dahua on it, you'll have to pay more. Might be worth a look in Black Friday sale if that's you mission.

Also, none of them to my knowedge have IR. Light is your friend with large sensors unless you go very large and have big bucks in which case night vision is possible in most cases. However, be prepared to budget in the thousands even tens of thousands to achieve true low light no illuminator capability.

Hello,
One more time, thanks.
Definitely, I must buy Empiretech.
The only problem is Empiretech don't send to Europe, that's why I search for an alternative as Dahua (world wide shipping). I also read that an user (@Andy) sends, but I ask him by pm with no response.
Regards

Regatemperature.

Plenty of members here are from Europe and buy that gear all the time.

Andy is Empiretech but his DM is Empiretech not Andy.
