2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

What is the difference between IPC-T54PRO-ZE and IPC-Color4M-TZ?

@EMPIRETECANDY
Andy, please change the Color4M/8M camera designations to the system we chose together (34PRO).
Currently, practically three different camera lines have been released as Color4M. It's hard to tell them apart, especially low line plastic white light only 2449 models.
Furthermore, they use unusual post-fixes that mean nothing to anyone (what is -TZ???)...
Moreover, some people confuse Color4M with old Full Color 1/1.2" Color4K line - which causes even more confusion

@Arjun
Both are turrets with a 1/1.8" sensor, 4MPx, varifocal lens, and WizColor/AI-ISP processing. The main difference is slightly better night vision in the 54PRO than in the 34PRO. Furthermore, the 54PRO has more advanced AI (AcuPick 2.0, Video Meta Data, a much more powerful processor, and a greater chance of additional AI modes in future).

54PRO is Dahua new release - replacement for 54IR line (2022 cam), we should have proper 3 year firmware updates/upgrades (as each main 5 line).

Color 4M is the 3 series

They look to be very similar, but the 54PRO has a very small Close Focus Distance <1ft vs 5ft on the 3449

54PRO also has VMD and P-iris

Not only, there are some Dahua low line plastic 2449 models with only white light (no IR) sold as Color4M in Andy shop (sub 100 USD models)...

they should be called 24WHITE or 24COLOR - or something like that...

this is why I ask for model numbering unification...

Andy can't use original Dahua models, so it should use similar system with first 2 Dahua digits + IR/PRO/WHITE suffix for light type...
very simple and informative system... you have Dahua line, resolution and LEDs lights type...
