1/1.2" 8MP Varifocal

Looking at the night time video... I wonder if the camera is programmed with a priority for license plates. I know LPR is a function the camera can do from the camera itself. Reason why I say this... Playing the video... I keep pressing pause and play and pause and play randomly... The license plate is always readable and very sharp with clear text. Person would be blurry or a partial "invisible man".

Maybe something to do with the way the video is being encoded so there is less loss in clarity for certain objects? I see on Unifi Protect that under encoding there is "enhanced" which I assume is their version of Dahua's "AI Coding".

There's definitely a little more playing around with settings I can do. I notice on mine, I have an Advanced option under Encoding too. Recording Quality Settings.jpg

Yes, that is the point, but need time, this year will be hard. Because you are even hard to find the cheaper DDR, some models DDR price increase 40usd, and not have money can buy them, small companies will be very bad at this situation.
@EMPIRETECANDY It might best to have new models with little to no AI features; this can significantly reduce price almost near to its former glory as it would not require large amounts of RAM. 256mb to 512mb of RAM is sufficient for IP cameras without AI. We should offset those AI features to dedicated NVR's and/or Blue Iris (or anything else comparable) systems
