Just installed BI full version, v 4.6.4.6 x64, on an HP Elitedesk G2 with i7 6700 CPU, on Windows 10. I have a number of Foscam FI9900P cameras (which worked just fine with an inferior hw system in BI demo mode). I have the following settings:
- file (container) format: Blue Iris DVR
- video compression direct-to-disc
- enabled hardware acceleration
- continuous recording on local drive (not network drive)
However, the recordings result in 00sec length, which, if viewed, display a black window with error message "Unable to open file: 80000002".
If I disable hardware acceleration, everything works just fine, albeit presumably at a CPU usage penalty. I have also tried the same settings on the same hardware on Windows 8.1, with the same result.
Any suggestions as to how to make hardware acceleration work?
