ok... you have very extreme situation here.. But even here you can play with HLC.. or exposure compensation... and HDR on 3449 will compensate this much better that 5449. -

Simply don't use WDR / SSA.. On those WizColor cams they are not needed and they are degradation to new WizColor video processing (they disable it). -

I played with many WIzColor cams at different locations. They when used in 'normal' (not WDR or SSA) mode, are using totally new video processing algorithms, taken from mobile & sport camera world... Algorithm with always enabled full frame HDR, strong local gamma manipulation, LUT color... -

this is a video noise, result of low light, short exposure time, high ISO (analog gain on image sensor) and LOW noise reduction settings... Noise reduction (especially 3D NR) removes this a lot.. but it works only for static image... for moving objects it creates ghosts (results of 3D NR...- steve1225

if this PTZ model behave bad (we have here confirmation from many users), You should ask Andy to report this to Dahua... Also ask Andy to check for custom firmware version for this PTZ. SD5 is very popular line (something comparable to WizMind-S in fixed cams) - I'm 100% sure, there are many... -

you can use them everywhere, except places where you need strong optical zoom (due big distance - like from gate to building). For good camera with strong telephoto zoom, you need to choose 5442-Z4E (Dahua) / 54IR-Z4E (Andy shop) (2x-6x optical zoom comparing to mobiles). -

NVRs always are using both main and sub-stream. Recorded is only main stream, but sub-stream is for viewing and transmitting to client... You must always add bandwidth used by both..- steve1225

1. for that large installation You should use VMS not NVR. NVRs are too much underpowered.. 2. it's not how much network bandwith is used by camera. But how much bandwith is reported by camera as maximum which can send. Can you show what encoding settings (all for main/sub stream) you have on...- steve1225

only very old Dahua / HIK cameras are using NACL plugins for Firefox... newer are using webservice - some kind of web proxy server, run locally on Windows in background which converts Dahua video streams to format accepted by modern browsers in real time.. the only exception is IE - which... -

Back deck/yard camera - 5442 S3 or 4k-X for no-light conditions?
5442.. B54 bullet is much much better than turret in context of IR light... 2x more power, uniform light level over all video frame plus regulation of proportion wide/narrow IRs.. T54 is very bad in IR light (middle over blow, sides under light).. second proposition is TIOC-PRO 3449... -

^^ THIS... IVS is for perimeter protection - it must work fast... reports first frame with specific person / vehicle... Video Meta Data - is more for cataloging people and vehicles. It sees a specific person/car for many seconds and tries to select the best one from the many available video... -

if you have 5442 in S3 variant (white/blue web GUI interface) - it's the same... if older one (grey web GUI interface) - then newer... Z4E means that this model have strong telephoto lenses - with zoom range 2x to 6x comparing to iPhone...- steve1225

gain is different name to ISO... basic of photography: to increase light capture (increase brightness) on photo, camera can: increase gain/ISO increase the shutter time increase the aperture (this camera don't have this capability). by limiting gain range you ask to use longer exposure.. and...- steve1225

it's simple.. car speed could be different (slower).. sun light / direction - brighter day = faster shutter... Also you lowered max gain at day settings - so camera can choose longer exposure.. ps. there are totally different algorithms used when you are in manual mode and automatic mode..- steve1225

1. you have worst possible angle.. car movement in photo frame at this angle is the biggest and plate visibility very low.. 2. if the cars are moving faster, you must go down with shutter speed even to 1/1000 second to have sharp plates. 3. there can be focus problems... 4. In my testing (mostly on 5442) AcuPick 2.0 increases a lot false positives - but not for IVS, but for Video Meta Data. You don't have AcuPick 2.0 / Video Meta Data - so it should not be a problem. Use what works best for you. -

if you somehow defaulted camera, you will find it at 192.168.1.108. Your computer must be in 192.168.1.xxx / 255.255.255.0 network segment.. Or use Dahua config or any Dahua NVR with camera registration page - to find and configure camera.- steve1225
